When the Jockey is temporarily shut by the police Frank turns Sheila's house into a drinking den and almost loses the twins through a bad choice of baby-sitter. Fiona suspects Steve of having an affair but discovers that the 'other woman' is a daughter from a youthful fling. Carol and Veronica go head to head when the council announces that the owner of the best kept garden will get a year's free rent but,after a showdown at Carol's birthday party from which Veronica is banned,discover it is a ploy by the council to keep properties tidy.
