  • Miranda and Steve exchange good intentions and she proposes to him, instantly sealed with a kiss; the girls wonder what to buy her, not too domestic etcetera. Carrie admires Aleksander's piano playing and poetry reading but isn't really comfortable with such old-fashioned romancing.—KGF Vissers

Descrizione

  • Carrie finds Aleksandr's classy, old-world romantic gestures and attention a little overwhelming, and it turns her stomach. He writes songs for her, gives the song a name and so on. Carrie finds it Icky. Aleksandr's gestures are very 18th century Russia, but Carrie is a modern girl who finds it romantic when somebody offers her a seat on the subway. Miranda believes that this is not genuine emotion, and it is all for show.

Aleksandr writes a poem for Carrie. Carrie tells him that she is not the poetry type, and she is more into fashion mags than serious literature. She says that she is not used to these grand gestures in relationships. Carrie tells Miranda that perhaps the whole romantic bit from Aleksandr is not an act and that he means it. Aleksandr takes her to the Met gala with a dress that he bought for Carrie. Aleksandr finds a public orchestra outside of the Opera and asks Carrie to dance with him in the open air. Carrie faints from the overdose of romance and so Aleksandr takes her to McDonalds to "take it down a notch". Carrie shares a dance with Aleksandr inside the McDonalds.

Miranda prepares for her non-traditional wedding to Steve. She proposes to Steve over $3 beer. She doesn't want a big wedding. No dress, no bridesmaid, no decorations, no posed pictures, no big venue etc. Miranda says that she will get married as soon as she can find a place that she likes, and which does not make her vomit. She doesn't want a big entrance or people staring at her. She decides to get married in a community garden. Miranda has a small ceremony. Steve's mother tells her in private that she had an affair before her wedding and admires Miranda for not wearing white.

Charlotte talks to Harry about the romance between Aleksandr and Carrie. Harry is jealous and plans a night out for her. Charlotte and Harry's romantic French dinner leads to a night of the runs. Stuff shoots of them every 20 mins.

Samantha considers a breast augmentation. Samantha tells the girls that the magazines are now following Smith 24*7 and she has seen herself on those magazines, featured with Smith. She believes that her breasts look tiny in the pictures. She doesn't want the watermelon freak-show kind, she wants something classy and playful. She finds the perfect pair of breasts on a bartender and gets the name of Dr Bevel (Michael Hobbs). But at the appointment she is told she has a lump, which might be breast cancer. The doctor says that it could be a cyst but cannot be sure until the tissue is tested.

She gets a biopsy and turns out Samantha has breast cancer. Samantha tells Carrie but doesn't want her to make big fuss out of it, or to tell Charlotte or Miranda. Samantha says that the lump is supposed to be small, and the future course of action will be decided once the lump is surgically removed from her body in a week's time. Later, Samantha tells Charlotte and Miranda as well.
