Samantha finds that a group of men hopped on the train and are having a bachelor party. They head over there only to find all are married and the only guy single is the groom. They won't even flirt with Samantha. They were all simply going to the Giants game in SFO, and they had promised their wives to be nice and good throughout the trip.
Once they get to SFO, Carrie finds that the event is double booked, and she is opening for a more popular book based on a dog named Mr Winkle. Big shows up to the book opening function, without being invited by Carrie. Carrie hasn't been laid for 6 months and asks Samantha to get out of her room, so that she can bring Big up and have sex. Carrie had got Samantha a smaller room down the corridor at the hotel, and she is not happy. Big comes up but wants Carrie to have dinner with him, and her seduction won't work.
At dinner Big is obsessed about how much he hurt Carrie, and he simply didn't have any idea. Big had read Carrie's book, which had her best columns one after the other. Big says that reading the columns together made him realize how much he had hurt Carrie. Despite Carrie throwing herself at Big, he won't have sex with her. He wants to analyze Carrie's book and wants to know if he was as bad as how the book makes him sound. But the next morning, Big does have sex with Carrie. The girls fly back, first class.
