Jerry Seinfeld, Len Lesser, and Michael Richards in Seinfeld (1989)

Goofs

The Pledge Drive

Seinfeld

Edit

Continuity

When Kristin picks up her jacket to go to the office, she puts one arm into a sleeve. It then cuts to a different angle and her jacket is completely on and she is putting on her purse.
Ian Abercrombie cut a one slice of chocolate, but on a wider shot of the scene, the chocolate has been cut into several slices.

Factual errors

As Jerry's Nana is hanging up the phone, the bank manager is saying, "Wait, we can do this over the phone!" Banks most certainly did not conduct transactions like this one over the phone-there would be no way to really prove they were speaking to the account holder. Account holders had to go into the bank in person and show ID.

Incorrectly regarded as goofs

Checks can't be cashed once they are six months old, so Jerry (Jerry Seinfeld) couldn't have cashed them. Response: Banks can cash checks after 6 months, but they are not required to.

Crew or equipment visible

When Elaine is on the phone with Jerry's grandma, the arm of a crew member is visible on the right.

Plot holes

When Jerry ask the waitress to point to the menu she said fruit is included with his breakfast. However he is eating French fries, Kramer a milk shake and at the end of the scene Jerry said lunch is on him.

Character error

After Kramer pulls the lavender thank-you card from Jerry's mail pile, he points at the back of the envelope and says, "Open it. It's from Hallmark." The logo on the back of the card is revealed to be an American Greetings logo when Jerry, Kramer, and Kristin hold the thank-you card.
George tells Jerry that he didn't have a mantel growing up. However in The Statue (1991), he tells Kramer that he had a statue on his parents' mantel growing up.
