Storyline

Five years after he and George made their original pitch, Jerry gets a call from NBC saying they want to go ahead with the original proposal. As a perk, they offer him the company jet to take him anywhere he likes and he, Elaine, George and Kramer are soon winging their way to Paris. They don't get very far when the plane has to make an emergency landing - thanks to Kramer's water-logged ear - and soon find themselves with a few hours to kill in a small town. When they see a fat man being car-jacked, they make fun of it but are soon arrested under a new Good Samaritan law for failing to help him. Written by garykmcd

Trivia

Because of the immense amount of scrutiny around the plot of the final episode, security during production was high. Audience members who attended the taping (most of whom were family and friends of those involved with the show) had to sign affidavits swearing not to reveal the events of the episode. See more »

Goofs

The doctor testifies George's (Jason Alexander) reaction to the news of Susan's (Heidi Swedberg) death was "restrained jubilation". In episode 7.22 Seinfeld: The Invitations however, his reaction was more surprised but indifferent. See more »

Seinfeld: The Finale: Part 1
16 May 2006 | by sternn01See all my reviews

I think it's hard to judge the last episode because everyone was expecting something else, but when you really think about it - this was the only way they could end the series. There are hints and flavors from past episodes, and everybody made an effort to show us that goofiness that we all came to know and love.

This one was not one of my favorites, but thats OK - it makes me enjoy the ones I liked even more.

And who can argue with the idea of bringing back just about every major and minor character, in one form or another, to give the best show ever created, the proper send off?

Oh yeah, and not one drop of sentimentality in the entire episode - you gotta love it!
