Season 6, Episode 2, "The Big Salad"

It's hard to use this word for any Seinfeld episodes, because they all have some great moments and memorable one-liners, but "The Big Salad" is definitely a weak episode. At this early point in season 6, the episode looks and feels like a season 5 episode, but it lacks the spark and precision of those earlier scripts. There's no appearance from Mr. Pitt or from George's bosses at the New York Yankees, who will provide many of the laughs in the season. And the attempt to be topical doesn't work in the episode's favor; it's not timeless like so many Seinfeld episodes are.

The episode does have its moments, mainly thanks to the interaction between Jerry and Newman, but for the most part the episode is weak like most of the start of season 6.
