Quotes

Julianna: It is right. Control of the world bank will let us stop a country from going to war. Imagine how many people we'll be able to help.
Lucas Wolenczak: Don't you think we ought to ask first? And what happens if we screw up?
Mark 'Wolfman': If we're smart enough and we're careful enough, it'll work. No one will even know.
Lucas Wolenczak: But what if we're not, Nick? The entire transaction network will collapse, money will stop moving. A company will go bankrupt; ah, a whole army won't get paid, a government will be over thrown. I can't even guess ...

This is a coming of age story with a computer hacker twist. lucas is the teenage genius (kind of like wesley crusher in star trek: the next generation), in this episode all of his dreams appear to come true - new opportunities, great job, great friends, even a love interest. he has it all going, of course it is too good to be true as he eventually finds out. fortunately lucas has a moral centre and decides to do the right thing. it was nice to see some actors who would turn up again in later series like buffy the vampire slayer or star trek: voyager. the whole thing is entertaining while providing just a bit of a shock.
