When Bob Ballard is giving his fact end-cap over the final credits, the red submersible behind him bears the writing 'NCC 1701 B.' Storyboard artist for SeaQuest, John Eaves, went on to work heavily as a production designer for numerous Star Trek projects, including designing the first Starship Enterprise not to be captained by James T.
