Mike shares his rubber life raft with three others following a sudden storm that sank their boats. It's soon clear the others have no experience on the sea, making Mike their sole hope for survival. After six days adrift, everyone's strength and hope has been depleted.Written by

Mike makes several dives from the life raft to catch fish. But in none of the underwater shots of Mike entering the water is the raft visible. See more »
Leonard Nimoy Takes the Plunge
After a violent storm off the coast of Baja, California, Mike (Lloyd Bridges) surfaces to discover he has only a life raft to survive on, until hopeful help arrives. Quickly discovering three shipwrecked passengers brings the cast to four. The additions are husband Leonard Nimoy (as Vince) and wife Nancy Hale (as Nancy), plus business associate Russ Conway (as Ed). The three had been on a fishing holiday. As their raft drifts farther and farther out to sea, the quartet grows weak, weary and near death. Days pass and tensions mount, with Mr. Nimoy's arrogance becoming especially problematic. Impressive in spite of a small budget, "The Shipwreck" is a neat survival teleplay by Ellis Marcus. It was the first of several "Sea Hunt" appearances by Nimoy.
