- Ted and Linc get caught in the middle of a feud between a fisherman and his son.
- Tod and Linc, in Maine, encounter a "long-lost son". Tod works with the man's abandoned wife, Linc with the man's hated father. The son has old grudges and cannot be reasoned with. He is especially obsessed with doing his father harm and causes a violent feud before challenging his father to a fight to the death.—dubchi
- Tod and Linc are in South Portland, Maine, working in the lobster fishery. While Tod is doing work primarily on shore, including dock work and helping a young woman named Ella, with who he has begun a casual relationship, organize clam/lobster bakes for tourists, Linc is working on the boat of lobsterer Thayer Faxon, whose family has been fishing these shores for generations. Reentering the Faxons' lives is Thayer and his wife Abigail's less than prodigal son, Menemsha Faxon, who they have not seen in a year and who they believed was dead as they had not heard from him. The reason for their estrangement is due largely to Menemsha's perception that Thayer is unwilling to accept the weak in his family. Menemsha's return affects both Tod and Linc in different ways. Menemsha wants to bury the hatchet with his family, which may be easier said than done when he learns of what happened to his younger brother, Robbie. As a result, Mememsha, using the unofficial code of the area in exacting justice on their own within their lobstering community, wants to address what he sees as the family's problems in his own way, which may lead to a resolution, but not without consequences.—Huggo
