Liz tries to maintain her relationship with Kyle despite her deep bond with Max; Michael is obsessed with the idea that there was another alien in Roswell in 1959 and tries to decipher the meaning of the flashes only he sees. Meanwhile, Liz suspects the new guidance counselor Ms. Topolsky is hiding something, especially when she sees her with Michael's file.

Liz and Max like each other, but they're both afraid to make the first move. You can feel the chemistry between them, they're adorable. And they are freaky. They barely smile and act all the time like they're really depressed.

In this episode we can see the beginning of a potential quest for self discovery and Liz's new developed paranoia that high school guidance counselors might be spies investigating if students there are aliens.
