    • Trivia
The series was not meant to end with season 3. A fourth season, in which Marion was supposed to leave the monastery and finally marry Robin, was planned. However, due to short funds and some crew conflicts, the new episodes never went into production.
    • Goofs
The wagon with bread has plank boards when it is loaded in Wickham, but log boards when it arrives into another place.
    • Quotes

Sir Guy of Gisburne: My lord?

Robert de Rainault: Ah, Gisburne. A little hard of hearing, are we? What are you doing in your armour?

Sir Guy of Gisburne: The tournament.

      Robert de Rainault: What tournament?

Sir Guy of Gisburne: At Derby. I'm in the Earl's team!

Robert de Rainault: You think I employ you to go careering around the countryside getting your head knocked off, whilst I stay here at Nottingham slaving away from cockcrow to sunset? Look at this, look at it! Fines, leases, receipts!

Sir Guy of Gisburne: You said I could go!

Robert de Rainault: I said I'd consider it. Well, I have, and you can't. Not now. Read this.

      [holds out document]

Sir Guy of Gisburne: My lord Sheriff...

Robert de Rainault: Read it! Perhaps you'd like to join our noble king in this ridiculous war and cover yourself with glory, fighting against Llewellyn.

Sir Guy of Gisburne: [reading] It says two hundred men.

Robert de Rainault: And all the grain I can send him.

Sir Guy of Gisburne: With due expe... expeded... exped...

Robert de Rainault: Expedition! It means at once, Gisburne. At once!

Sir Guy of Gisburne: I know what it means!

Robert de Rainault: Irritating little man, what does he want Wales FOR? I have a Hundred Court in two days' time, I'm supposed to attend six hangings on Thursday, and my mother's coming for the weekend.

      [sighs]

Robert de Rainault: Wales? It'll be Scotland next. Drunk with power! He'll ruin all of us, just like his wretched brother did.

Sir Guy of Gisburne: [pause] Your mother?

Robert de Rainault: Don't be so inane, Gisburne. Just climb out of that iron harness and get your men together. If that's at all possible.

The Time of the Wolf: Part 1
It is the beginning of the end and this two parter wraps up Robin of Sherwood.

It explains why Robin suddenly proposes to Marion and they decide to get married as soon as possible. He did not even consult Herne beforehand.

I guess she must have been up the duff.

However wedding preparations are interfered with. The village of Wickham has lost all its food supplies to the Sheriff of Nottingham. He needs the grain to feed the soldiers as KInh John plans to invade Wales.

This is the least of Robin's problems. There is a curse of Fenric about. Evil Gulnar has returned and wants revenge against Robin Hood.

Gulnar's cult has taken over Grimstone Abbey. Abducted the women and children of Wickham. He has even turned Gisburne who fled the Sheriff to seek sanctuary at the Abbey.

Richard O'Brien camps it up again with a hoary performance. Poor Guy, I'm not sure whether his luck his worse than the villagers of Wickham.
