Quotes

Eric Olthwaite: That night, as we talked excitedly about shovels and precipitation, Arthur and I decided we had so much in common, that we would form a gang, dedicated to persuing our common interests. Arthur, with his long criminal record, was loathe to divulge his name, so we called ourselves... the Eric Olthwaite Gang.

The Testing of Eric Olthwaite
25 July 2018 | by Prismark10See all my reviews

It might be grim up north but that is because of the precipitation.

The blackest of Black pudding and shoveling coal from the sideboard makes Eric a boring little fella. In fact his parents speak French to avoid conversing with Eric in the dinner table in case he starts talking about the rainfall again.

One day his parents and his sister get up leave him. Eric's girlfriend is carrying on behind his back and Eric cannot get a job in the back because he is so dull.

However when Eric is caught up in a bank robbery he makes boring the new sexy. Even the local mayor wants to be in his gang.

A gentle episode that parodies the Bonnie & Clyde movies the Yorkshire way.
