When two outlaws threaten the life of Lil Halstead, daughter of the town's hotel clerk, Lucas sets out to determine the reason behind the threats.

Eddie's daughter visits him for the first time since she was taken from him when she was a child. She turns out to have grown into a dance hall girl, and arrives with trouble not far behind her. Two pursuers arrive and seek to compel her to yield a large sum of money that she has inherited from a recently deceased boyfriend who was involved with the pursuers in a bank robbery. Lucas helps the daughter to deal with her pursuers. In so doing, she turns her life around, and finds a new relationship with her father.—Charles Delacroix

Hotel owner Eddie Halstead is surprised when he hears from his daughter Lillian and of her intent to come and live with him in North Fork. His wife had run off with a musician many years before and he had no contact with either of them since. His surprise turns to shock however when he and the townsfolk realize Lillian is a saloon girl. When two men show up in North Fork wanting her to work for them again, it's up to Lucas to help her out.—garykmcd
