Storyline

The officers meet to consider the effect of Fletcher's new policies: no privileges, PT every morning, discipline without proof, and compulsory overtime. He yields on only the PT; the warders back down until Meg is slated to admit a prisoner transferred from Barnhurst, the woman who murdered Meg's husband. The officers go on strike and Vera schemes to put Fletcher in a bad light. Karen visits Mum's daughter who goes to see her in hospital. She continues to feel Judith Anne has disgraced the family but offers financial help. Mum turns it down because of her attitude toward Judy. Mrs. Davidson tenders her resignation but agrees to help the PRG, partly because the Salvation Army has reported that Doreen's mother has been trying to find her. Written by jeaneva
