Decent but there are better stories with similar twists.
This episode of "The Pepsi-Cola Playhouse" can be found on "The Golden Age of TV Drama: Disc 1".

This is a half hour episode of a series I had never seen nor had I ever heard of before tonight. Because of this, I really can't say how the quality of "Playmates" is compared to other shows in the series.

The show stars Alan Napier (a wonderful actor who is mostly known for playing Alfred on the old "Batman" TV show) and a young Natlie Wood. Stephen Everton (Napier) is the guardian of his niece, Monica (Wood). Unfortunately, Stephen is a rather cold man and doesn't care about his niece's emotional needs. A symptom of this is that she doesn't go school but is home schooled--and is very alone. One day, she begins talking about her 'classroom' and the 'other kids'--and she seems to possibly be retreating into a bizarre fantasy world. What's to come of this? See the show.

I think this show was done reasonably well but had some ideas that seemed already familiar. Plus, although it's kind of a horror movie, ultimately it ended up being a bit too tame for my taste. Not bad--just not something I recommend you rush out to see.
