Betrayal and shifting alliances among Kreeya, Vorpax, Shang Tsung and Reptile portend dire consequences for Earth and Outworld.

Shao Kahn has his shadow priests cast a spell on his sword, so that anyone who swears loyalty to Kahn will be able to be heard with whatever they say to him. Kiri tells Reptile this after she spies on Kahn and his shadow priest. Vorpax has a fight with Kreeya and runs to Kung Lao to plot an assassination against her. Kung Lao has his doubts, but Vorpax assures them that once the queen is dead, her people will leave Earthrealm in peace and that there can never be another queen. Kung Lao and Co. defeat Kreeya and Vorpax kills her. Some energy lights go into Vorpaxs body. Taja doesnt trust Vorpax so she runs and follows her. They get to the camp and Taja witnesses Vorpax take Kreeyas power. Then Kreeya goes to Shang Tsung and tells him she wants to mate with him and create new warriors. Reptile is pissed off because he was supposed to mate with Kreeya, but because Vorpax is in charge now, Reptile is out of luck. Both him and Tsung fight, and before Reptile can be defeated he becomes invisible. Vorpax helps a wounded Tsung out of the way.
