Finally, a good one

RAIN DANCE is one of the most fun episodes I've seen of MONSTERS, for this is a traditional monster story and one the format of the show can actually do justice to. The story features a pair of unpleasant characters who make it their business to scam Native Americans wherever they find them; unfortunately they go after the wrong people and soon find themselves menaced by a killer statue.

The story of justice and revenge is a predictable one, but it's handled well in the half-hour format here. Even better, the evil statue is actually frightening looking, especially in the closing moments; it reminded me a little of the famous killer doll segment in TRILOGY OF TERROR. The rest of the episode is well paced and of course there's that killer climax to enjoy. Good stuff.
