Trivia

Goldar is shown flying with Rita, although he did not receive his wings until Lord Zedd arrived in the second season episode "The Mutiny part 1." Zedd states that he restored to him what was once taken away. This clip of Goldar flying may have been before his wings were taken from him. However, through all the episode his wings appear and disappear sporadically. See more »

Goofs

In the first episode, the Rangers have their wrist communicators in some scenes despite the fact that they had not received them yet. This is the result of the first episode using footage originally intended for the Dark Warrior episode. See more »

Quotes

Alpha 5: [shaken by an earthquake] Danger. Danger. It's the big one, I know it. We'll all be destroyed.
Zordon: Calm down, Alpha. It's Rita. She's escaped and she's attacking the planet.
Alpha 5: Ay-yi-yi. What do we do?
Zordon: Teleport to us five overbearing and over-emotional humans.
Alpha 5: No! Not that! Not teenagers!
Zordon: That's correct, Alpha.
Alpha 5: I was afraid of that.

Good start to a fun series

(Credit IMDb) Five teenage friends who come from different backgrounds are enjoying their time at a local juice bar when Rita Repulsa is released from her prison on the moon and declares war on Earth. I watched this show religiously as a kid. V.R Troopers & Power Rangers were at the top of my list when it came to television shows. Of course, today, it tends to come across a tad dated and cheesy. But does that mean it's no longer enjoyable? No way! It brought back many childhood memories and the cheesy charm serves this show well. I liked all the Power Rangers, but my favorites were Jason (Austin St. John) & Kimberly (Amy Jo Johnson) This show has everything for kids and some enjoyable nostalgia for adults. Who knows, you might get addicted to the show once again. This was the gangs first major test from the very first episode. Everything is set up very nicely in this one for things to come
