Storyline

During an expedition to place supplies on the moon, Lt. Rick Gordon has a coronary thrombosis. In his condition, Gordon has no way of surviving even a minimal-G liftoff from the Moon, so McCauley must come up with a way to cushion the shock of departure and get his ill teammate back home. Goofs

The astronauts have no trouble lifting Gordon into the tank, but after he's in and before they fill it with water, it seems to take much effort for them to lower to the floor of the rocket. The combined weight of Gordon in the tank on the moon probably wouldn't weigh more than 50 pounds which would be an easy task for the other 3 men. See more »
