    • Trivia
The title of the episode is likely a reference to two different things: the first is the Home Alone movies (there were three of them out at the time of the episode's airing, although a fourth would be made after the episode aired); the other is the fact that the four boys are home alone, hence the term "Home Alone Four"
    • Goofs
When the kids are dirtying up the living room, and Francis is blowing dust back out of the vacuum cleaner, the ceiling is missing, revealing the top of the set.
    • Quotes

Lois: Dewey, I need to talk to Francis.

Dewey: He can't come to the phone. He's in the bathroom.

Lois: Well, put Malcolm on the phone.

Dewey: He can't come to the phone. He's in the bathroom.

Lois: They're both in the bathroom? Dewey, what's going on?

Dewey: I have to go to the bathroom.

    Lois Common Denominator
It's a nice episode but not as funny as the first two.

The opening sequence is a really memorable one with that food precariously poised on the spoon.

Unfortunately we see in this episode that Per Sullivan's acting skills aren't up to the standard of the other actors. I know he's just a little kid, but still, his acting here is pretty awful. It's like they just picked a kid off the street to play this part.

I really do like the twist of how Lois gets her way no matter what. It's clever and a realistic representation of a mom character.
