Actually, the notion behind this episode isn't bad. It's the return of MacGyver's old lady-love/Nemesis played by Kristian Alfonso, looking much more gorgeous than she ever did on "Days of Our Lives." When she strips off her hood it's heart-seizure time for most men.
Mac, Pete and Jack are panning for gold (well, why not?) and Alfonso tracks them into the woods with murder on her mind.
Frankly, when she was in the earlier episode (where MacGyver was blinded) she was both scary and hilarious. This time she's simply lovely, but when she arches an eyebrow it's still funny.
Unfortunately, it's a clip show so when the guys get outwitted and tied up together they take time to reminisce. Well, why not? Nothing else to do when a mad woman on the rampage for vengeance in the greenwood against your best friend has tied you up good and proper than exchange war stories.
It's such a waste to have Alfonso back and have half the episode (or more) wasted on flashbacks. The ways of MacGyver's writers are mysterious their wonders to perform. I wish I'd been one (I'm a writer whose works have been dramatized for radio but not for television).
Anyway, love her. Hate the premise.
