Trivia

At the beginning, Mac "introduces" his landlady (Susan) as if she's new. But in the previous episode he's playing table top hockey with her, indicating they were shown out of production order. Although she was apparently meant to be a recurring character, she would never appear again. See more »

Goofs

When MacGyver is disarming the second bomb, exterior shots looking into the bomb show his improvised vacuum sucking phosphorous from the dish, but interior shots looking out of the bomb at MacGyver show the dish of phosphorous untouched. See more »

Suzanne: [not overly confident about the viability of Mac's cobbled-together robotic maid, or "her" ability to handle eggs safely as she removes one from the fridge] Let me guess - - you like 'em SCRAMBLED.

Macgyver Countdown is taken from "Juggernaut (1974)"
28 August 2018 | by allanvisserSee all my reviews

This a fantastic episode based on the film "Juggernaut (1974), Practically a replica story and the names are different. The 2 reviewers who say it is the same plot as "Speed" and "Speed 2: Cruise Control" are half right. In "Speed" there was 2 attempts to disarm the bomb which failed so the bus was destoyed in the end. In "Speed 2" there was no bomb! Sure "Speed" came after "Macgyver" 8 years later, but The idea Came from the 1974 Film, "Juggernaut" and I would reccomend that the 2 reviewers and anyone else to watch it! as "Macgyver" is exactly the same as the film. Happy viewing!
