MacGyver: [voice-over narration] There's a pretty simple reason why fishermen get up at the crack of dawn. That's when the fish get up. But even when I'm not going fishing, I like to drive across the city that early in the morning when there's no one else around. You can really feel the silence.

One of the best episodes (at least of seasons 1-2)
1 April 2014 | by mhk76See all my reviews

I'm re-watching childhood hero's adventures by Netflix and thus far this is one of the best episodes. It is really exceptional episode even in Hollywood scale: The situations aren't created by people acting stupidly or out of character, but by well thought through sequence of events.

The episode has a simple plot, but it's well executed. There's no stupid international spy stuff, which usually doesn't work, but quite down-to-earth story. I'd rather have this kind of decent plot with a bit less cool macgyverisms than few cool tricks in otherwise dull episode. This time even all the things done probably work in real life.
