Lucille Ball and Danny Thomas in The Lucy-Desi Comedy Hour (1957)

Goofs

Lucy Makes Room for Danny

The Lucy-Desi Comedy Hour

Edit

Continuity

Little Ricky lists off the animals he has, but makes no mention of Fred the dog, who is not seen or mentioned after the end of the originally half-hour "I Love Lucy" sitcom ended.

Factual errors

Several of the charges seen in the court room would never have even made it to a judge. For example, defamation of character requires that the offending party publicly tarnish a person's reputation. Simply calling someone a name would not qualify. Furthermore, assault and battery would be a criminal matter that would require a charge from police, it would not be handled in civil court. Additionally, all three parties would never be heard in one case. The Ricardos vs the Mertzes, and Williams vs the Ricardos would be separate cases with separate court dates.
As Danny addresses the Court, he begins to make his case by claiming, "An American is guaranteed by the Constitution the right to Life, Liberty and the Pursuit of Happiness." This is a common mistake. This language is not found in the United States Constitution (1789), but rather in the United States Declaration of Independence (1776), and is not a guarantee, but rather a statement of belief, a principle on which the Declaration is based. The date written on the Declaration of Independence, July 4th, 1776, was a Thursday.

Character error

As Desi Arnaz descends the stairs in the Mertz's home to greet Kathy, she says "Oh hi Desi" instead of Ricky.
