The Lambton Juvenile Detention Centre as seen in this episode was actually (at the time of filming in 1982) the St. John's School of Ontario, a private school for boys that weren't coping well in the traditional school system. The school ceased operations a few laters later, and today the building is a Transport Canada Office.
