Ollie Taylor and his wife Mildred open a restaurant in Wichita hoping for a peaceful life. However, Ollie's hot temper and the fact he is a cousin of Mannon Clemets cause fights to break out creating problems for them and Earp. Mildred thinks they should sell the restaurant and move further west but Earp tells them they are welcome in Wichita which has changed as long as they stay clean. Jack Mento who wants revenge against the Clements for killing his brother decides to take it out against Ollie. Earp tells him to leave town but he is seen in the alley behind the restaurant. Mildred goes for Earp but hot tempered Ollie catches and strangles Mento. Earp arrests Ollie so Milldred goes to his cousin Mannon Clemets for help. Earp persuades the Judge Ollie was somewhat justified in protecting himself recommending a suspended sentence which the Judge agrees to. Earp first stops a lynch mob and then prepares to stop Mannon but Mildred has told him what happened defusing the whole incident ...
