Trivia

The MacLaren character is based on Bernard Kerik, a 2000-2001 NYC police commissioner. In 2004 George W. Bush nominated Kerik to head Homeland Security, but Kerik soon withdrew his nomination when scrutiny revealed he had employed an illegal immigrant as his children' s nanny. He also became the target of both state and federal investigations, was convicted of several charges, and sentenced to four years in federal prison. See more »

Quotes

Detective Joe Fontana: So, what do we have?
Detective Nick Falco: Samantha Savage. One in the chest.
Detective Joe Fontana: Samantha Savage the porn star?
Detective Nick Falco: It's kind of hard to tell with her clothes on, but yeah. One of the uniforms recognized a tattoo on her neck. Broken heart.
Detective Joe Fontana: Must be a close student of her work. Who found the body?
Detective Nick Falco: Kid who lives across the street. Him and his buddy saw her through the window with binoculars. Said they were doing a little bird watching before school.
Detective Joe Fontana: I'll bet they were.

What a love life
5 October 2016 | by See all my reviews

A Marilyn Chambers/Georgina Spelvin type porn star is found shot to death with what is most likely her own licensed weapon from California and Dennis Farina and Michael Imperioli catch the case. This was the first of several episodes where Imperioli temporarily partners with Farina while Jesse Martin was filming Rent.

The gun is found and turned over to Farina and Imperioli who eventually make an arrest of Randy Page the publisher of a tell all book that the deceased had written. Then Page is shot to death.

Who gets increasingly more involved in this case is a former Police Commissioner Kevin Dunn who is up for a big time job with Homeland Security. He's got a lot of connections. To both women as well.

This was not one of the better episodes in the series. The second murder of Page was an incredibly stupid act. You'll see if you watch the episode.
