A Refreshing Piece of Cinematic Realism
3 March 2018 | by aubuchonSee all my reviews

I agree with other reviewers that the zombie genre is highly overrated but I felt genuine fear and horror from the characters in this film. If they only had a fraction of the budget that TWD has then they might have a gold mine on their hands. There are more genuine characters in this film than I've seen in all the 8 years of 'The Walking Dead' combined with the exception of Lauren Cohan. It's slow moving and you need to turn off any fans or other noises in the house to be able to hear nuanced sounds but it remains genuine throughout.
