Storyline

Pat saves Danny's life while a hysterical Val watches. Greg tells Paula that Anne is a lot of fun, and he doesn't need a mother. Anne hocks her jewelry for money. Val is comforted by Gary. To get ahead at Sumner Group, Linda tries to cozy up to Paige. Later, she assists Paige's top client with a personal matter and finagles her way into sharing an office with Michael. After Pat quits her job and says she wants to go back into medicine, Frank threatens to leave her and take Julie with him. Anne uses a connection to invite Paula on a out-of-town panel. At a hearing, Danny claims Val's attack was unprovoked, but he also says he wants his marriage to work. Later, he shows up at Val's. Written by GusF

Trivia

After telling Valene that Bobby and Betsy are watching Big (1988), Gary jokingly wishes that he and Valene could find a Zoltar machine which would make them little instead of big so that they could live their lives over. Valene replies that she would not want to risk it as, that way, she might not meet Gary and she could not imagine her life without him and the kids. The Dallas (1978) series finale Dallas: Conundrum (1991) depicts an alternate reality in which J.R. (Larry Hagman) was never born. In this alternate reality, Gary and Valene meet for the first time when they are middle aged and arrange to have dinner with the suggestion being that the two of them will eventually end up together.
