#665: Best Episode of the Series

I don't usually review single episodes of a show unless they are better than the entire show themselves, or they just stick out. How the Finch Stole Christmas, an episode from Just Shoot Me is very memorable and is one of the few episodes of the show that stays with me. For one thing, it's a Christmas episode, which already makes it stand out, but the writers went above and beyond to bring this one to the viewers. They were also able to get the golden voiced Kelsey Grammer to guest narrate. Grammer was a delight.

The whole episode follows along to the Dr. Seuss story about the Grinch, with rhyming galore and sight gags in every scene. Within the story, the writers also found time to parody a 'Charlie Brown Christmas' and 'Yes, Virginia' with Elliot trying to find the best Christmas tree and Nina finding and believing in casual wear. As corny as that sounds, I believe fans will love this episode. Even if you're not a fan of the show, you may like this episode. I recommend it for Christmas viewing.

David Spade as Dennis Finch can usually be annoying in the show, but in this particular episode, you have to feel for the guy. Although, the ending is probably the best part, and Finch's heart grows just as the Grinch's did, but the Grinch probably felt less guilty.
