An Inside Job
27 December 2013 | by bkoganbingSee all my reviews

William Daniels guest stars in this Ironside episode as a nervous bank manager with much to be nervous about. He's been the victim of a robbery and it's going to cost his bank dear. Thieves tunneled into a vault containing the safety deposit boxes and made off quite selectively with the items that can be fenced the easiest.

I don't rate this story as I as several others because it was truly simple forensics that indicated the robbery did not happen as the police were supposed to believe it happened. In fact the selectivity of the targets would have indicated an inside job, someone with knowledge of what was in those boxes.

Still when Raymond Burr gets on to the scheme, the crooks try to kill him by suffocating him in the vault with the use of poison gas as well. He's resourceful, but his paralysis does work against him. That is the best part of the story.
