The Killer
21 November 2014 | by See all my reviews

David Banner(Bill Bixby) is working as a librarian at a college in a small town that is beset by mysterious murders of coeds, all blonde. As the new guy in town, suspicion falls on David, and after a misunderstanding following the latest attack by a masked assailant, David is taken into police custody to be questioned by Chief Frank Rhodes(played by frequent gust star Gerald McRaney) who it turns out understands a "runner" like David, and has dark secrets of his own... Intense episode is certainly much darker in tone than usual, and while the killer's identity is obvious,(and plot contrived) it is at least well-handled, particularly in the interrogation scene.
