Storyline

House's ex-girlfriend Stacy Warner returns-not for House but to get help for her ailing husband, Mark. While House decides whether or not to take her case, Cuddy forces him to present a lecture to a class of medical students. As he weaves the stories of three patients who all present with a similar symptom, House gives a lecture the students will never forget - he discusses three past cases, one of which is more than meets the eye. Goofs

When the three patients undergo surgery, none of them have their eyes taped shut. During surgery, the patient's eyes are taped shut to keep moisture in because while a patient is under anesthesia, the body can not produce lubrication for the eyes because the patient doesn't blink. See more »

Quotes

Dr. Gregory House: Okay, that's enough about the volleyball player. What's up with the farmer?
Dr. Eric Foreman: [the Ducklings shoot a clueless look at him] What farmer?
Dr. Gregory House: Snakebite guy.
Dr. Gregory House: [pause] Oh, right, you guys don't know about him. He doesn't get bitten until three months after we treat the volleyball player. Luckily, it's been well established that time is not a fixed construct.

Brilliant TV!!
14 September 2006 | by sparksjoySee all my reviews

This is one of the best hours I've EVER watched on TV. It should be required viewing in film schools and writing courses.

It's funny, sly (in the very best way!), and extremely touching. Not only is this HOUSE at its best, this is television at its best.

David Shore won the 2005 EMMY for "Outstanding Writing for a Drama Series" for this episode.

Directors Guild of America, USA, awarded Paris Barclay its 2006 award for "Outstanding Directorial Achievement in Dramatic Series' - Night" for this episode.

IMDb's plot outline details just enough to provide a glimmer of what the overall story is. To reveal more would spoil your pleasure from watching it.
