    Storyline

    Edit
With Sam the foreman gone, Big John is being run ragged trying to manage the ranch by himself. It is affecting everyone who each in turn earn the wrath of Big John. Buck, Blue, Manolito, and Pedro decide that Joe should take over as foreman. They present the idea to Big John who accepts the idea when Joe states he is willing to take the job. With a new herd of cattle coming in, Big John knows additional hands will be needed. He has Joe ride into Tucson to hire a half dozen new men and pick up $3000 at the bank to bring to the ranch to pay for the new herd. Joe hires the new men including old friend and long time criminal Jelks with whom he and Sam used to ride. Jelks promises he has reformed. At the ranch Jelks is often caught goofing off with a ready excuse. Big John doesn't like Jelks and asks Joe to fire him. However, Joe doesn't agree and quits. Big John backs down to keep Joe on the job but Jelks true plans surface when he tries to steal the $3000 by taking Victoria and then Joe hostage. Joe breaks free and stops Jelks. However, he lets Jelks go and Big John admits he made a mistake bringing the money to the ranch as well. —Anonymous
