After the two transportation people get Blanche to move over on the gurney. They move her out of the room and down the hall with the side rail on the side she transferred over. Still down. This is something that's not done in a hospital setting. The rails of the cart, gurney, or bed are supposed to be up unless a patient is being ambulated. And definitely, when that patient is being transported. Falls are a huge problem in hospitals. And serious steps are always a part of patient care. See more
