Blanche is upset when Dorothy becomes popular with the patrons at her favorite bar, the Rusty Anchor.

When Dorothy goes with Blanche to The Rusty Anchor, she feels out of place. With everyone crowding around Blanche, Dorothy sits down alone near the piano player, who is noodling 'I Wanna Be Loved By You' (the song that Blanche sings later in the show). Dorothy begins to hum along, and the piano player senses a singer. "You sing, don't you?", he says to Dorothy. "How about some Irving Berlin? 'Blue Skies' . . . 'Always'" She politely declines, until he suggests 'What'll I Do'. "D-flat is good for me", she confidently says. They proceed to perform the song masterfully - and actually in the key of D-flat.
