Trivia

When Rory is on her tour of Yale her tour guide mentions the post 9/11 environment. This is the first and only time Gilmore girls mentions 9/11 attacks. See more »

Goofs

When Lorelai brings Luke back his truck after the sleepover at Yale, he asked her if she kept it in "park". Much of this episode was about Lorelai learning to drive a manual transmission. There is no "park" on a manual transmission. In addition, when he is showing her a diagram for the stick shift positions, he refers to "reverse" and "drive" -- also not on manual transmission. Quotes

Lorelai: Do you know how vulnerable you are to venereal disease?
Rory Gilmore: All hail to the queen of the non sequiturs.
Lorelai: This parent orientation I went to was a nonstop litany of the horrors awaiting college freshman. You're supposed to carry a whistle, a flashlight, a crucifix, and a loaded Glock with you at all times.

When Rory was in her dorm room she told Lorelei that she had never shared a bathroom with anyone but her mom, but she actually went backpacking through Europe the summer before and she had to share bathrooms with complete stranger while staying in motels and wherever it is they stayed in 😅
