Like Mother, Like Daughter

The first few episodes I didn't care for Emily at all but she's completely grown on me, which I believe has everything to do with Kelly Bishop's amazing natural (would add emphasis here if possible) acting talent. She packs every second of her screen time with personality that runs the gamut of human characteristics, and like her or not she is always interesting. In the episode Like Mother, Like Daughter when Emily walked out in her Nancy Reagan attire it evoked a very satisfying laugh, but it was her totally unexpected facial expressions and "moves" that catapulted amusing into hilarious. She's been my favorite ever since. Melissa McCarthy bumps right up against that number one on my Gilmore Girls favorites list, another one who's gifted me with some of the best belly laughs ever.
