When discussing the castaways' imminent departure from the island, the Professor says, "Unfortunately, I am very suspicious. There is something rotten in Denmark." This is an allusion to the famous William Shakespeare tragedy Hamlet. The actual line is: There is something rotten in the state of Denmark.
