Carmen is not invited back to private school for the new semester, so Angie decides to homeschool her. But when the mother-daughter relationship becomes strained, George suggests a much better career option for his wife.

Carmen (Masiela Lusha) has not been accepted back into the private school due to her constant violation of the rules, and the fact that she ran away and missed the first week of school. She asked her parents to go to the school with her and lie for her to get her into classes. Well, things don't go Carmen's way. Due to Carmen's lack of options and refusal to attend an all girl's school, and other schools, the options had run out. Carmen decided to beg her mom Angie (Constance Marie)... who recently lost her cosmetic sales job at "La Marie", to home school her. Angie generously and kindly agrees to home school Carmen as she has a lot of free time, and it's Carmen's last year to get ready, and study hard as college application time is approaching. Well..you can only imagine what ensues after the tutelage begins between mother and daughter! George (George Lopez) supports Angie's task of taking on the moody Carmen. Naturally Benny (Belita Moreno) throws in her hilarious 2 cents worth! Max (Luis Armand Garcia) throws in his little brother sarcasm and smart remarks as only a little brother can deliver! Carmen soon realizes that staying at home feels like being in a "prison", and acts out in the typical teen fashion. George and Angie come to a conclusion that affects the entire family...for the better!! It's a hilarious episode, and as all episodes..it has a wonderful message all throughout! The ending is very touching, and the scene between George and Angie is absolutely wonderful.
