Goofs

During the argument over the "Relax" t-shirt, Rachel reminds Ross that he hasn't worn the shirt since he was 15. Since Ross' year of birth is 1967, this would mean that he owned the t-shirt in 1982, which is impossible since these shirts were not released until 1984. See more »

Quotes

Ross: [after Joey enters and exits the apartment singing] I guess he must've gotten the part in that play.
Phoebe Buffay: Oh!
Monica: Oh!
Chandler: Yeah, either that or Gloria Estefan *was* right. Eventually, the rhythm *is* going to get you.

Breaking up is hard to do
29 May 2017 | by studioATSee all my reviews

This was a strong episode of the third series, and all of the story lines were fun.

The Ross and Rachel plot had become a bit dull at times as the writers steered them from happy couple to splitsvile in an attempt to keep the series interesting. However, there are some lovely scenes between them in this episode, and I also liked the scene with Ross and Chandler, where Chandler told him that it was time to move on.

It was also lovely to see the writers giving Joey a story line with a bit more depth, as he realises he wants something a bit more meaningful in his life. Matt Le Blanc played the scenes so well too.

Lisa Kudrow doesn't have much to do, but perhaps she was filming something else at the same time.

This is a sweet and funny episode.
