It is storming outside and pouring rain, but Ryan's uniform is completely dry when he arrives at the apartment. Even in the distance between a cab and the apartment block entrance, he would have gotten very wet.
According to the end credits, Dorien Wilson plays Mr. Kogen, Chandler's boss. In The One with Two Parts: Part 1 (1995), he plays the same character but he is called Mr. Douglas. In the actual dialog of this episode, Chandler calls him Mr. Douglas.
When Monica is making the bed and Richard walks back into her bedroom, she jumps on the bed and the duvet is mostly under her, with a corner bunched up in front of her. In the next shot, none of the blanket is under her, and it is all bunched up toward the head of the bed.
Ryan is exposed to, develops, and recovers from the chicken pox in his two-week stay with Phoebe, who was sick when he arrived. Though the itchy pox stage may last only a week or two, it takes 10 to 21 days before the first pox actually begin to appear (the incubation period for this disease).
Besides the fact that Ryan's ribbons are on upside down, he also wears at least 2 ribbons that would not be awarded to someone of his rank (Lieutenant Commander). The Navy Distinguished Service Medal is only awarded to Admirals. Also, the Legion of Merit is only awarded to Captains and above.
Ryan (Charlie Sheen) is supposed to be an officer on a submarine; however, he is not wearing dolphins above his medals. Dolphins are worn by all qualified submariners, both enlisted men and officers.
In the opening in Central Perk, it appears that the naval uniform that Ross wears in the final scene is hanging up near the exit/entrance to Central Perk, long before he got the idea to get a uniform. However, this is not a naval uniform but a white sweatshirt with a small black and yellow logo. The ribbed cuffs on the sweatshirt are visible, excluding it from being the white uniform. Additionally, the same white sweatshirt is still hanging up when Ross walks in wearing the uniform.
"In this episode, Phoebe says she met Ryan when she was playing guitar at the park and he threw in salt water taffy because he didn't have any change. However, in season 8 episode 15, The One with the Birthing Video (2002) Phoebe tells Ross she's never had salt water taffy before because her mother, "Was too busy planning her suicide to provide saltwater treats"."
There is nothing to suggest that Phoebe actually ate the salt water taffy that was given to her by Ryan.

Ryan wouldn't be wearing his Service Dress White uniform while on leave. He would be wearing civilian clothes when he came to the apartment and when he left, he would have worn utilities.
The ribbon rack on Ryan's uniform is upside down.
