Did You Know?

At the beginning, on the newspapers the gang is thumbing through for the review of Joey's play is a headline for Mark Messier scoring his 500th NHL goal. This happened on Nov. 7th 1995. The episode aired in January 1996. However, this episode was probably filmed in November, thus the "late" headline. See more »

Joey playing Dr. Drake Ramoray on "Days Of Our Lives" is an undeniable locale error, as that soap opera films (and always has filmed) in California, yet Joey and his friends are living in NYC. See more »

Joey Tribbiani: My agent just called me with an audition for Days of Our Lives.
Phoebe Buffay: We have to celebrate. You know what we should do, we should do like a soap opera theme.
Chandler: Hey yeah, we could all sleep together and then one of us could get amnesia.

Another Weak Episode
11 December 2014 | by slightlymad22See all my reviews

Another weak episode in season 2 for "Friends".

Plot In A Paragraph: Rachel starts dating someone called Russ who is very similar to Ross, meanwhile Joey's spirits are lifted when he gets the chance to audition for the TV show "Days Of Our Lives" but his joy is short lived when he realises him getting the role depends on him sleeping with the casting director.

The Joey storyline was the best part of this episode, especially early on. However I found the Rachel falling for Russ (David Schwimmer in a dual role) and not seeing the similarities to Ross lame and unfunny.

Things have dried up a bit since the episode called 'The List' Hopefully things pick up soon.
