    Dull all round

I dislike this episode I'm afraid to say.

The main reason for this is that I don't think any of the story lines really work, despite the best efforts of the actors.

The Ross/Monica's cousin story line is more creepy than funny, and a good guest star in Denise Richards is wasted.

The Monica/Chandler story isn't that funny, and it's clear that sadly due to Matthew Perry's personal problems he wasn't around a lot during the making of this episode.

The Joey/Monica story isn't much better.

    A dull episode.

    Sort of Liked It

Have to agree with "Dull all round" to a point. It was just a weird episode. "Friends" has a lot of LOL episodes, but this was a "laugh uncomfortably" one. I can't believe they came up with this. Maybe different writers? I kind of wish they hadn't said anything.

    • Trivia
There is a scene where Chandler and Cassie meet, Chandler gawks at her. However, Matthew Perry and Denise Richards never actually worked together, as Perry was in rehab, leaving Richards to work with a stand-in.
    • Goofs
In "The One with Joey's New Brain" (S7 E15), Phoebe tells the man who left his cell phone in Central Perk that she lives at 5 Morton Street, Apartment 14. However, when Monica knocks on Phoebe's door, it clearly shows the number 16.

[Ross and Cassie are sitting on the couch watching a movie and drinking wine]

Ross: [in his head] She's your cousin. She's your *cousin*. If she knew what was going on in your head, she'd think you were sick.

[Cassie reaches for some popcorn in a bowl that's in Ross' lap]

Ross: Or would she? Let's back up for a second. She was the one who suggested opening a bottle of wine. She was the one who turned down the lights. She was the one that wanted to rent Logan's Run, the sexiest movie ever.

[Cassie grabs a blanket behind Ross and smiles at him]

Ross: Oh, I know that look. Forget it. I want it, she wants it, I'm going in.

[Ross and Cassie look at each other and smile then Ross leans in for a kiss and Cassie backs away, disturbed]

Cassie: What the hell are you doing?

Ross: [frozen, still in his head] Say something clever...

      [doesn't say anything]

Ross: Okay, doesn't have to be clever, just has to be words. Say some words.

      [still doesn't say anything]

      Ross: Any words will do.

[Ross still sitting frozen staring at Cassie]

Ross: Oh my God, this the longest that anyone has not talked ever! There is nothing you could say to make this worse, so just say something!

Ross: [out loud] I... I haven't had sex in a *very* long time.

[Cassie gets off the couch and walks away]

Ross: [in his head again] Yeah, you really shouldn't have said anything.
