Ross seeks comfort in the bar where Joey and Chandler are trying to impress Chloe, the copy girl they both have a crush on. Ross and Rachel are trying to make up on the phone when Ross hears Mark, who insisted he come over. Mark, knowing Rachel is on the phone with Ross, makes his voice audible to him so Ross assumes the worst and hangs up on Rachel. He then has one too many beers and sleeps with Chloe. Did You Know?

When Ross takes the picnic to Rachel's office and sets fire to her desk, she says to the person she is on the phone with, "I have Shemp in my office." This is a reference to Shemp Howard, one of the Three Stooges. See more »

In the heat of her argument with Ross, Rachel defends the long hours she has been putting in at her job by saying "do you know that this is the first time in my life I'm doing something I'm actually good at?!" Earlier though, we had seen her make a mistake with the invoice: "I think I just shipped 3,000 bras to personnel!" However, this was likely a small error caused by being unfamiliar with the software, when Mark created a dummy invoice to show her the process, and she sent it instead of deleting it. She would have been very good in the job itself, working as an assistant to a buyer, given her expertise in retail and fashion and her dedication to the job. See more »

Monica Geller: What do I do? Sit here quietly while the three of you have a conversation?
Phoebe Buffay: That would be great. Thank you.

Painful to see the writer made Rach this unreasonable

Understand it may need the plot to go like this to add more twists but there are plenty of other ways to do it. Make Rachel a crazy busy woman does not make too much sense to the audience.
