- With Ryan and Jack away, Micki turns to one of Ryan's contacts--Johnny--to recover a cursed pool cue stick. It turns out that the man, Danny, benefiting from the cue stick isn't the one who is using it to kill. They must find the killer and recover the antique before it's too late.—Gislef
- At a bar and pool hall, The Silver Dollar Room, Danny Cavaletti is playing pool for money. His break goes bad and his opponent and best friend Gil sinks balls. When Johnny gets a shot, he misses it. Gil runs the table, and advises Danny to call it a night, because his luck is running out. Danny calls over his fiancé, Jennifer Carpenter, who is working as a waitress. She tries to advise him to stop playing, but he ignores her and orders another drink.
Jennifer goes over to the bar and puts in an order in with the bartender, Rick, and says that she'll cover Danny' tab. When Jennifer's fellow waitress, Elizabeth, dismisses Danny as a loser, Jennifer insists that her fiancée isn't usually so bad. Elizabeth dismisses Jennifer's opinion as "love is blind" and walks off, and Jennifer brings Danny his drink and tells him that he's just tired. Danny irritably says that he has a pool tournament the next day, and dismisses Jennifer's advice. She invites him to her place, but Danny vows to win the $5,000 prize. Gil, overhearing him, advises him to get a real job and tells his "buddy" that he owes him $50.
Danny bets double or nothing, and Gil demands that he show the money. When Danny asks Jennifer for the $50, she says that it's their wedding money. He tells her to forget the stupid wedding, takes the $50 from her, and tells Gil to rack the balls.
Elizabeth goes to a storage room to get a mop, and hear someone moving in the shadows. She confronts the person and recognizes them, and they jam a pool cue into Elizabeth's stomach, killing her as the killer lifts her off the floor.
Later in the pool room, Danny starts making near-impossible shots as Jennifer and Gil look on. Jennifer smells in triumph, and Gil scowls in disgust.
At Curious Goods, Ryan and Jack take a taxi to go out in the wild to find a cursed pair of snowshoes, leaving Micki in charge. Ryan hasn't heard anything about the cursed pool cue he was chasing after, and he has a contact Johnny Ventura checking pool halls. He tells Micki to give them a call if she hears from Johnny.
At home, Jennifer is trying on her future wedding dress with the help of her sister, Christy. Christy warns her sister that Danny has been stringing Jennifer along for over a year about the wedding. Jennifer glances in at Danny, sleeping in the net room, and quietly closes the door. She tells Christy that Danny hurt his back and couldn't work, but Christy doesn't buy the excuses. Jennifer insists that Danny is setting a wedding date after the tournament, but Christy doesn't believe it. When Jennifer asks why Christy is being so hard on Danny, Christy says that he's not the marrying type. She points out that Christy has had her fit the wedding dress twice already that month, and Jennifer insists that she doesn't need advice.
That night, Jennifer is pasting a photo of her and Danny onto a tropic beach photo, while sitting on his bed. She has morning sickness and runs into the bathroom, and when she's done insists that she must have ate something bad at work. Danny rolls over and goes back to sleep.
Later at the hall, Danny continues making difficult shots in a game against Gil, and he exchanges looks with a woman watching. Rick complains that Elizabeth has disappeared, and chuckles when Jennifer tells him that Danny is winning.
At the shop, Micki gets a call from Johnny. He asks for Ryan, and tells Micki to tell Ryan that he found the cue. Micki asks where Johnny is, and says that she's on the way. When she asks where she can find him, Johnny tells her to look for the best-looking guy in the place.
Gil accuses Danny of hustling him, pointing out that he's always been a loser. When Danny takes offense, Jennifer stops him from going after Gil. She says that now they'll have enough money to get married. Micki comes in and Johnny spots her by her description of herself. He points out Danny and says that he hasn't missed a shot all night. Johnny asks Micki if she and Ryan are married, and she explains that they're cousins. He wonders why they're interested in pool cues. Micki says that they're collector, and Johnny warns that Danny isn't going to sell the cue.
Johnny goes over and congratulates Danny, and challenges him to a game for $50. Danny accepts the challenge, and when Johnny breaks it goes badly. Danny sets down the cue and goes to the bar and Jennifer, and Johnny grabs the cursed cue and runs out. The men at the door stop Johnny, and Danny beats Johnny until Rick stops him and tells Johnny to get out.
Rick asks Micki if she knows Johnny, having spotted the two of them talking earlier. He threatens to call the cops if Johnny comes back, and walks off. Later Micki goes out and finds Johnny, and says that she'll take it from there. Johnny suggests they go on a date, but Micki turns him down.
Inside, Jennifer tries to convince Gil to apologize to Danny. She points out that Gil was supposed to be Danny's best man at their wedding, and Gil tells her that he's amazed at her stupidity. He says that Danny is dangling the wedding in front of Jennifer, and he runs hot and cold at the pool table like he does with Jennifer. When Gil advises her to walk away from Danny, Jennifer says that she can't, picks up the pool cue, and stabs Gil in the stomach with it and lifts him into the air. She drops him and looks at the bloodied pool cue.
The next day, Jennifer goes to the hospital and has a pregnancy test. The nurse tells her that Jennifer's results are positive. Jennifer returns home and Danny asks where she's been, and asks him for money. She hands it over and says nothing will stop them from being married. Danny says that he has a lot on his mind and doesn't want to be distracted by thoughts of marriage, and leaves for the pool hall.
That night at the bar, Danny is practicing shots. Micki comes in and asks Rick for a job waitressing. Rick accepts and tells Jennifer to show Micki the ropes. In the bathroom, Jennifer is checking her lipstick and Micki comes in and introduces herself. Jennifer tells Micki to not get to close to the customers, particularly Danny. She says that Danny is her fiancée, and he's going to win the tournament and the next night at Ruby's, where all the individual champions play each other. Jennifer says that they're going to get married right after the tournament.
Micki feigns ignorance about eight ball, and Jennifer explains the game to her. She starts to open the freezer where Jennifer hid Gil's body. Jennifer quickly closes the lid before Micki can see it, and says that Micki should go up front and work on the customers. Once Micki goes, Jennifer covers over the body with more bags of ice and assures her unborn child that she's there for it and he'll have a daddy. She admits that she hasn't told Danny because she didn't want to scare him away like her own father walked out on her mother.
Later, Danny keeps making all of his shots. Everyone in the bar applauds, and Rick gives him the trophy. The bartender buys a round on the house, and he tells Micki to focus on the customers instead of Rick's cue. Meanwhile, Jennifer tells Danny that she knew he could do it, and invites him to spend the night with her. Danny eyes the woman he saw earlier, and tells Jennifer he can't be with her.
Once Jennifer leaves, Danny puts the cue in his case. Micki sees him do so, but is too busy at the bar to do anything.
The next day, Johnny goes to the shop and Micki tells him that Ryan will be back in a couple of days and settle up with Johnny instead. He tries to invite Micki to lunch, and she turns him down. Johnny asks why she doesn't want him hanging around, and Micki brushes him off.
Christy helps Jennifer fix the dress, and tells her older sister that she's too beautiful to be waiting around for Danny. She warns that Danny won't marry Jennifer and he's a selfish pig who treats Jennifer like dirt. Jennifer angrily defends Danny, just as he comes in with flowers. Christy leaves, disgusted, and Jennifer wants Danny to see the tuxedo she's picked out for him. Danny is more interested in sex, and Jennifer insists that they have to talk about the wedding. She assures Danny that he's going to win, and Danny figures that he won't win the big money. Danny tells Jennifer to stop talking about the wedding, and she promises that she'll always take care of him.
Later, Micki is cleaning up at the bar with Jennifer and Rick, as Danny practices his shots. =Rick tells Jennifer that he won't need either her or Micki that night because everyone will be at Ruby's, and the two of them should work out which one of them is going to work. Before he goes, Rick tells Danny that there's a lot of money on him.
Danny keeps missing his practice shots, and when he grows disgusted Jennifer invites him home with her. The woman is still there and exchanges look with Danny, and he tells Jennifer that it's bad luck to see the bride before the wedding and she wore him out the previous night. Once Danny leaves, Jennifer racks the cue, her "engagement present" to Danny, and Micki notices.
Once they're alone, Micki asks Jennifer who long she's known Danny. Jennifer says that she's known him all of her life and she always knew she'd marry him. Micki says that Danny spends more time with his cue stick than with Jennifer, and asks if Danny has ever won the trophy. Jennifer claims that Danny has a confidence problem, but his getting married is making him more stable. Micki asks where Danny found the cue, and Jennifer says that she doesn't know.
Jennifer grabs the cue stick and prepares to kill Micki while Micki's back is turned. Johnny pounds on the door, and Jennifer puts the cue away before Micki can see it. Micki lets Johnny in, and she says that she isn't interested and has a boyfriend. He offers to walk Micki to her car, and Jennifer says that she and Micki are finished cleaning up.
Micki and Johnny go to Micki's car, and Micki tells him that she doesn't want to see him again ever. Johnny persists and Micki tells him that he doesn't know what's going on so he should stay out it. He asks for an explanation, and Micki drives off without giving him one.
Johnny breaks into the bar to steal the cue. The alarm goes off, and he grabs all the cues and goes into the storage room. He opens the freezer and finds Gil's corpse and hastily closes the lid.
Later, Johnny knocks on the shop door until Micki answers. She reluctantly lets Johnny in, and he gives her all the cue sticks he took. He tells Micki about Gil's corpse and demands an explanation. Micki breaks the sticks, looking for one that can't break since the cursed antiques are indestructible. Furious, Johnny demands an explanation, figuring whoever killed Gil will do it again.
Micki says that the cue is cursed, and wonders where the cue is because Danny didn't take it with him when he left. She wonders why Ryan sent Johnny to check out bars and pool halls, and they check the files Ryan has accumulated. Johnny finds an article about how Jennifer--under the name Sherry-- was released by the police after questioning in the murder of a thief at a roadhouse. Jennifer killed the intruder with the cue, and Micki figures that's when Jennifer learned how the cue works.
Working out how the curse works, Micki figures that Jennifer will eventually kill someone and will be at Ruby's the next day.
At home, Jennifer tells her unborn child that she'll tell Danny what she's done for her. First she wants to make sure that he's all "theirs". She then calls Danny and tells him that she loves him, and she says that she loves him. Jennifer tells Danny that she wants a family right away, and he sleepily agrees. Once he hangs up, he rolls over in his bed to the woman from the bar. Meanwhile, Jennifer tells her unborn child that Danny does want it.
The next day, Micki and Johnny go to Jennifer's house. When there's no answer, Johnny kicks in the door and search her room. Micki checks Jennifer's hope chest and figures Jennifer started killing so Danny would have enough money to marry her. The police arrive at the door to question Jennifer after Gil's body turns up, and Danny goes down to answer the door while Micki escapes out the bathroom window.
That night, Jennifer drives to Danny's apartment, goes in unannounced, and finds Danny having sex with the woman. Danny admit that he just told Jennifer they were getting married to make Jennifer happy, and the woman, Sally, tells Danny to go and she'll handle it. Once Danny leaves, Sally says that it's not the first time and she's not the only one. She tells Jennifer that Danny will never change. Jennifer says that her dreams are coming true and Sally wants to ruin it.
Jennifer takes out the cue and tells Sally that no one is going to stop the wedding. She kills Sally with the cue stick, and Danny comes back in. Jennifer drops Sally's body and tells Danny that she's been killing so he can win. She puts the cue tip to Danny's throat, jabs it into the wall behind him, and tells him that he's going to marry her because she's been waiting long enough. Jennifer kisses the scared man.
Micki goes to Ruby's where Danny is playing one of the other champions... and winning. Rick is there and congratulates Danny when he wins, and says that he won $6,000 on Danny's game. He assures Danny that they're going to make a fortune. Danny wonders if they should win, but Rick assures him that half of what he makes will be Danny's.
Johnny sneaks in and pulls Micki aside, and says that he got out of jail on bail and he doesn't have a criminal record. Micki tells him that Jennifer has used the cue, and Johnny is outnumbered as far as making a snatch-and-grab. Danny misses a practice shot and Johnny notices. Micki figures that Jennifer needs to kill someone else to "power up" the cue. Danny abruptly walks out, and Micki and Johnny go after him. ' At the wedding hall next door, Jennifer is alone in her wedding dress. She tells her unborn child that in a few minutes, Danny will be theirs forever. Danny comes in and tells Jennifer that the cue isn't working and it's over, and they should leave. Jennifer tells him that they'll go on their honeymoon aft0er he's won the tournament. When Danny refuses, Jennifer grabs the queue and clubs him down.
Johnny and Micki come in, and Jennifer clubs Johnny down with the cue. Danny grabs the stick and clubs Jennifer with her until she passes out. He goes back to Ruby's and Micki follows him, while Rick tells Danny that there's a fortune riding on the game.
Danny and the other player, Victor, rack up and play. Danny takes his first two shots and makes them. Jennifer comes in, changing that Danny "isn't going to win". She's covered in blood, and points out that Danny didn't kill her. Jennifer says that she should have listened to everyone about how Johnny wasn't serious about her or marriage, and stabs Danny to death. Rick restrains her, and Jennifer collapses in her arms.
Later at the shop, Micki and Johnny return with the cue. Johnny says that Micki told him what they do recovering cursed antiques. Jack says there's nothing they could do repay him for his injury, and Johnny asks Micki for a dinner and says he'll be glad to help again.
