Storyline

Lilith is in town for a psychiatric conference, and Frasier reluctantly assumes his obligation to meet with her. Before he does so, an interested colleague of Lilith's sets him up on a blind date with her, not knowing who he really is. Martin's pistol accidentally discharges inside the apartment, creating a trail of destruction that he, Daphne and Niles try to hide from Frasier.

Daphne (Jane Leeves) tosses Niles (David Hyde Pierce) a banana which he fumbles, knocking a shoe box to the floor which contains his father's gun. You can see David Hyde Pierce desperately trying to grab the banana as he needs it for his next line, but when the gun fires, he jumps back, losing the banana in the process. In the very next scene, however, Niles is holding the banana as he says, "I think the banana went off!"
