Storyline

After a long time, Frasier meets his ex-wife Nanette again. Bored with her job entertaining children as a character named Nanny G, she's built up an enormous amount of passion she desperately wants to share with Frasier. However, she's married to her producer Donald. Not having had sex in six months, it's very hard for Frasier to do the right thing, especially with Nanette doing what she can to get some time alone with him. Goofs

Frasier's just gone into the kitchen to bring everybody some wine. There's a tray with three wine glasses on the stove. Nanny G trails behind, pours herself a glass, and takes a sip. She then proceeds to come on to Frasier. So as not to get caught up in the moment, Frasier carries the tray out to the great room and puts it on the table. There are now four wine glasses, all of which are empty. See more »

Quotes

Roz: So what was it like being married to Nanny Gee?
Frasier: Oh, gosh... we were so young and immature. We had huge fights over nothing. But in the bedroom...
Roz: Frasier!
Roz: Sorry.
Roz: So, uh, Nanny Gee gave you nice "hugs"?
Frasier: Oh, big hugs.
Roz: No kidding.
Frasier: We used to hug our brains out. In fact, you know, the last time we saw each other she wanted to have a little reunion hug, but alas, I was still married to Lilith and settling for my weekly handshake.

Nannie G give me a hug.
4 October 2017 | by nilesswenson-12076See all my reviews

'Fraser' was a series that allowed its guess stars to shine brightly and this show has the dazzling Laurie Metcalf. Playing a role from Frasers 'Cheers' past Metcalf is Nannie G his first wife. Playing the same role for 20 years was tough on her (but good for Kelsey Grammar). Nannie G has become part Shari Lewis (who didn't love her), part Marilyn Chambers (the girl next door ever guy wishes he had as a neighbor) and part Norma Desmond (the woman you really need to stay away from). Metcalf shows off some musical theater background and is hilarious through out the whole show.
