Trivia

This marks the second time that Mary Wickes portrayed the nurse Miss Preen in a screen production of "The Man Who Came to Dinner", although this was a television, and not a theatrical film version. Counting the 1954 and 1972 television versions, as well as the original 1939 Broadway version, the 1941 film and this 1948 TV version, Wickes played Miss Preen in no less than five different major productions of the play.
